Purpose: In a competitive business environment, diversity is an opportunity to create
competitive advantages for an organization.
Women earn more bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees than men (Catalyst,
2020). However, women continue to be underrepresented in leadership and
compensation.

Topic: What can be done to reduce the glass ceiling in the United States?

Task: Your research and discussion should include some of the following terms:
diversity, privilege, gender gap, pay gap, leadership, legislation, best practices

Your paper should include:

• Introduction (general overview of diversity and privilege).

• Explanation of at least three major issues impacting females in the workplace.

• Discuss innovative ideas to solve the problem.

• Conclude by summarizing and reflecting on what you learned from the
assignment.

• Provide references to support your research.

Criteria:

• Your paper must have a minimum of 1000 words.
